Preserving The Horse’s Enjoyment In The Work
“The apex of perfection in equestrian art is not an exhibition of a great deal of different airs and movements by the same horse, but rather the conservation of the horse's enjoyment, suppleness and finesse during the performance” - Nuno Oliveira
The beauty of movement in a horse that is happy and relaxed is incomparable! It is our aim as horsemen to show them what we’d like to receive while preserving how they feel in the work. How a horse feels is written in the way they move and gives us insights into whether or not our work is sustaining the horse’s enjoyment.
